When Yang Yuanhao, who used to be a bank governor, quit his job to go into business, he wanted a venture that would be welcoming to families, especially their children.

So when the doors to Nuomi's Summer, the restaurant he and a former colleague opened in Xi'an, the eatery offered not only menu items suitable for parents and children, but well-designed educational and experiential games for youngsters. Inside the 700-square-meter restaurant are play areas and toys that would be the envy of any child, including a mini-kitchen designed for little hands and a "gas station" where children can "fill up" toy cars they can ride.

"I don't want to miss the growth of my child since it's irreversible," Yang said. "I hope this restaurant is not just a business, but is a way in which I can spend some time with my son, and also leave beautiful memories for more children."
